Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has approved N489.258m for the payment of 2020 NECO and National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies (NBAIS) examinations for 29,126 students.
Only students that obtained five credits and above including Mathematics and English in the 2019 Qualifying Examinations would benefit from the payment.
The state government has also approved the release of 2020 Qualifying Examination results.
This followed the submissions made to the State Executive Council by the state Commissioner of Education, Malam Muhammad Sanusi Sa’id Kiru.
While congratulating the students for their good performances, the Commissioner urged them to reciprocate the government’s gesture by ensuring that they pass their NECO and NBAIS Examinations in flying colours.
