The chairman of the Kano state House of Assembly standing commitee on Education, Hon. Muhammad Bello Bututu has vowed to see to the upliftment of the state education sector.

He made the assertion while on working visit to the ministry of education along with members of the committee, Thursday (Yesterday).

The chairman who was also a retired Principal, said that going by his experience in the sector for over two decades , he is determine to explore all necessary avenues in moving education to a greater hight.

He noted with concern the gradual loss of glory in the sector, stressing that supporting education should and must be a collective responsibility.

” We must sit tight in librating the sector because educating a society is a challenge not only to the government but to the entire people of the society and failure to live up to our responsibilities, the education will continue to have set back” he maintained.

While soliciting for the cooperation of the committee from the ministry, it’s parastatals and other stakeholders, he warned that his commitee will not fold it’s arms and be looking at the sabatuers of the education in the state.

In their respective comments, the members of the committee have unanimously expressed their determination to work together with the ministry and other stakeholders with a view to assisting the development of education in Kano state.

Earlier, the Acting Director Administration and General Services of the ministry, Malam Rabiu Malami Abdullahi congratulated the members of the committee for their appointment , pledging the unflinching support of the ministry to the committee at all times.

Malami who is also sitting for permanent secretary of the ministry, apprericiates the membership of the committee as most of them are from the education background.
